Matt Baker began his prop-making career in 1997 on "Event Horizon" and later studied at Ryecotewood College. He's worked on numerous high-profile films and TV shows, founded Awesome 3D Printing Ltd, and is dedicated to mentoring newcomers and advancing British filmmaking.

  • Matt Baker started his prop-making journey on the film "Event Horizon" in 1997 and later studied Model Making at Ryecotewood College in Oxford. He gained experience on various films such as the James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies" and the first Harry Potter film, developing a passion for props in high-end television (HETV) and films.
  • Throughout his career, Matt has worked with prominent cinematic giants including Disney, HBO, Netflix, and Warner Bros. Some notable films he has contributed to include "Anna Karenina," "The Theory of Everything," "Eternals," "Jurassic World Dominion," "The Meg 2," "Venom 3," and "The Gorge." He has also been involved in popular HETV titles like "Loki," "House of the Dragon," "The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power," and "The Nevers."
  • Matt Baker's expertise extends to using new technologies in prop making, particularly specializing in CAD file creation for 3D printing and CNC. In 2014, he founded Awesome 3D Printing Ltd, a company now run by his sculptor wife, Amelia. The company focuses on using CAD files to create props for various films. A high point in his career was being commision to recreate the Range Rover Hearse of HRH Prince Philip for Her late Majesty The Queen.
